About The Position

As the Medical Laboratory Technician, you will perform routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens for use in the treatment and diagnosis of disease. You will report to the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Associate degree is science or;
• Practicing MLT before 1994
• Knowledge and capability to of performing daily maintenance on instruments

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests including microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, and bacteriologic according to established standards.
• Maintain detailed records of tests performed and report results to appropriate personnel.
• Understand and comply with laboratory Quality Control and Quality Assurance policies.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and sterilize laboratory equipment.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Use hospital and laboratory information systems and software.
• Work with doctors, nurses, and other personnel to provide technical guidance and address concerns.
• You will perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
