About The Position

The Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist works under general supervision to perform moderate and high complexity laboratory procedures involving a high degree of independent judgment.

Requirements

• Minimum requirements include a B.S. in an approved Medical Technology program or a B.S. in a chemical or biological science, including one full year of training in an approved hospital MT program.
• An A.A. in an approved Medical Laboratory Technician program including training in an approved hospital MLT program.
• No bench experience required.
• This level includes all Technologists/Technicians with less than three years of generalist experience; and all part-time technologists.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred background includes previous experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably in a medical group setting.
