About The Position

Requirements

• Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology.
• Required Certifications: MLT (ASCP) or MLT(ASCP)cm or MLT (AMT).
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of laboratory and office equipment.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
• Mathematical skills and effective data conversion abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and stat laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Demonstrate proficiency in clinical laboratory procedures and perform testing with precision and accuracy.
• Use correct policies and procedures in the collection, labeling, handling, and processing of specimens.
• Participate in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Management (QM) for the assigned area.
• Effectively operate laboratory instrumentation and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Comply with Prisma Health policies and procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Organize and prioritize tasks, responding to customer satisfaction issues appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with laboratory leaders, pathologists, and team members.
• Promote professional growth and development through continuing education and competency assessments.
