About The Position

Great River Health is excited to introduce the Right Choice Internal Resource Pool (IRP), an innovative approach to healthcare staffing. Job Description: A Brief Overview Performs tests and procedures in assigned sections, including those which require exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimum supervision. Independently performs qualitative and quantitative tests, following established guidelines and predetermined criteria. Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance and/or results and uses knowledge, critical thinking skills, and judgment to troubleshoot and resolve them. May perform phlebotomy and help in specimen receiving, as assigned. For those MLTs who live within 50 miles from 1221 S. Gear Ave, West Burlington, IA 52655 Commitment 1: $34 / hour Float to all 3 Great River Health hospital locations Minimum of 24 hours in a 6-week scheduling period We ask that you select one Summer and one Winter hard to fill shift as part of your commitment. You can select the hard to fill day and shift time that suits your availability, and you can adjust this as you see fit annually. For those MLTs who live more than 50 miles from 1221 S. Gear Ave, West Burlington, IA 52655 Commitment 2 : $48 / hour Take assignments to any of the 3 Great River Health hospital locations One assignment every 4 months (LTA must be a minimum of 6 weeks) Eligible shift differentials: o Evening differential: $2/hour (14:30 - 22:59) o Night differential: $2.30/hour (22:30 - 08:30) o Weekend differential (Friday @ 23:00 – Sunday @ 23:00): - $1/hour o Holiday Differential: 1.5x base rate of pay

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree (AA) in laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited program
  • 2 years experience as an MLT
