About The Position

Join Southcoast Health, a not-for-profit, charitable health system with multiple hospitals, clinics, and facilities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We are searching for a talented Medical Lab Tech to perform diversified duties including efficient performance of technical procedures in one or more units of the laboratory. This role is essential in producing quality and timely patient analysis to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease, contributing to the solvency, efficiency, and growth of the hospital by providing quality customer services. The position is located at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA, with a day shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or 60 semester hours including a minimum of 6 semester hours in Biology, 6 semester hours in Chemistry.
• 3 years of Clinical Laboratory experience in the last 5 years under the supervision of a Medical Technologist.
• Certification as an MLT from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or comparable agency approved by the National Commission for Health Certifying agencies required within two years of hire.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID-19 or have an exemption.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Hematology, Chemistry, and minimal Microbiology.
