About The Position

This position is eligible for a Sign-On Bonus of $2,500 to be paid in two installments: - $ 1,250 within 30 days of your hire date and - $ 1,250 12 months after hire date To provide a variety of clinical laboratory procedures, using equipment, instrumentation, and terminology applicable to Microbiology, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Clinical Microscopy to complete specimen analysis and proficiency tests, as indicated by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments. This position also provides direct patient care by performing phlebotomy and instructing patients regarding specimen collection. CLIA recognizes Microbiology and Hematology laboratory procedures performed by these positions as high complexity. Position also identifies deviations from expected and/or normal results; analyzes results for possible solutions. Can interpret and evaluate results for clinicians as needed. Evaluates and incorporates new techniques. This employee’s duties include performing all categories of lab procedures for patient results and verifying accuracy, consistency, and overall fit before approving results; reviewing quality control results and taking remedial action as needed; performing API Proficiency tests in eCW and Harvest; and keeping track of supplies as needed. This employee is responsible for organizing and requesting chemical waste pickup with Environment, Health & Safety. This employee assists in training new lab or other Campus Health staff and assists with their competency review. The hours for this position are 8-hour shifts within a Mon-Fri 8 am to 6 pm schedule, with occasional Saturdays as needed to meet the organization’s needs.

Responsibilities
