Operates all lab equipment as trained. Is competent with performing maintenance and calibrations as necessary. Performs, monitors and approves QC requirements as necessary. Is current with acceptable levels of CEU requirements to maintain certification. Performs patient testing in an appropriate manner such that the quality and accuracy of results are acceptable. Identifies and corrects problems with specimen/instruments that could adversely affect patient care. . Participates and successfully passes proficiency testing requirements and special projects as required by manager and/or director. Works cooperatively with co-workers, supervisors, the department manager and physicians to accomplish defined goals. Understands and meets personal accountabilities in a way which supports the success of others. Assists others and addresses conflict constructively. Promote a team-work approach to Healthcare in the department as well as the facility.
