About The Position

Healthier Communities. Healthiest Lives. Together. CVMC has a wonderful opportunity to join our evening staff as a level I or II Medical Lab Scientist. The wage disclosed is at the I level. JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests. Performs phlebotomy as needed. Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment. Understands the clinical significance of the testing performed. Responsibilities for correction of procedural / instrument issues. Responsible for teaching, training and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biological science or chemistry.
• Medical Laboratory Scientist certified or certified in the field. If certificate qualified, certification to occur within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum experience – MLS internship completed.
