About The Position

The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs advanced clinical procedures, including chemical, biological, immunological, and bacteriological testing with an understanding of the theory and principles. The person must have compassion for patients and be able to represent the hospital mission. The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist is cross-trained in multiple areas of the laboratory within professional certification and performs phlebotomy as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• MT ASCP or MLS (ASCP) certification preferred but not required.
• No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced clinical procedures including chemical, biological, immunological, and bacteriological testing.
• Understand the theory and principles behind laboratory testing.
• Demonstrate compassion for patients.
• Represent the hospital mission.
• Be cross-trained in multiple areas of the laboratory.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed.
