About The Position

Located at Highland District Hospital (Hillsboro, OH) Part-Time (28 Hours per Week) Day Shift (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM) With Weekend and Holiday Rotation Full-Time Night Shift (8:00 PM - 6:30 AM) With Weekend and Holiday Rotation Responsibilities: Perform all tests in an accurate and efficient manner following established policies and procedures. Perform and record daily and/or routine maintenance and quality control on all equipment or reagents used for testing. Recognize problems with instruments, reagents, test results and/or supplies and initiates problem solving procedures. Record all results in an accurate, complete and readable format, utilizes computer systems correctly to generate results and notifies clients appropriately of panic value results. Address client related questions and problems in a courteous and efficient manner, following department policies and procedures. Participate in training of new employees and students in appropriate technical areas. Comply with all corporate integrity and safety policies of CompuNet Clinical Laboratories. Contribute to the overall effectiveness of CompuNet Clinical Laboratories by performing other duties as required. Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Medical Laboratory Science (MLT/MLS/CLS). ASCP or AMT certification (or eligible) or comparable required. Physical & Safety Demands: Visual acuity and hand-finger dexterity to work at computer for extended periods. Perform accurate data entry and data analysis in a potentially noisy environment. Complete integrity and accuracy in test performance and results reporting. Read/see small print on labels. Lift and carry, with both hands, weights up to 20 pounds for distances up to 50 yards. Lift a weight up to 50 pound from the floor to an approximate height of five feet. Manual dexterity to be able to manipulate various specimen types as well as the fine motor skills required to operate the various pipetting devices common to the clinical laboratory. Stand for extended periods of time. Repeatedly walk short distances. Will have exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals. Be familiar with and adhere to safety, ergonomic and health policies of the Company. Comply with all PPE requirements when in the laboratory or other biohazard areas. Complete required safety training and health evaluations in a timely manner. #IND123
