About The Position

As a Travel Medical Lab Scientist , you’ll accurately and efficiently perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing while supporting high-quality patient care across Munson Healthcare facilities. Travelers must be comfortable rotating through all core laboratory departments and working independently in a fast-paced environment. You’ll operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, assess and correlate test results, and ensure compliance with departmental procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Lab Scientist in a hospital or acute care setting
• Ability to rotate through all laboratory departments (Core Lab, Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Microbiology, etc.)
• Active or eligible ASCP certification or equivalent MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or CLS(ASCP)
• Must maintain national certification throughout the assignment
• Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
• MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
