Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Baccalaureate degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related field preferred.
• One year of laboratory tech experience or clinical internships of 12 months duration preferred.
• Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification from ASCP or AMT required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform a full range of laboratory tests.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing for quality control checks and troubleshooting.
• Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with medical staff regarding laboratory procedures and results.
