About The Position

The Medical Lab Scientist I or Medical Lab Technician position at Froedtert Health involves performing laboratory procedures with a high degree of independent judgment and responsibility. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science required within 60 days of hire for Medical Lab Scientist.
• Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) Certification by ASCP or equivalent required within 6 months of hire.
• Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology required within 60 days of hire for Medical Lab Technician.
• MLT (ASCP) certification required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures using established protocols.
• Exercise independent judgment and responsibility with minimal supervision.
• Conduct quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Procure and process specimens.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
