Responsible for receiving, processing, and performing limited testing of patient specimens for diagnostic testing. Principal Accountabilities Standards of Performance: Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Collaboration, Stewardship, Accountability, Quality Education High School diploma or equivalent required Associate Degree in a science related field preferred Licenses and Certification MLA-ASCP preferred Experience and Skills Technical Experience: 3 year in a lab setting preferred Physical Activities Intermittent hand manipulation required. Intermittent lifting and carrying of 20 pounds which can be modified. Ability to be mobile throughout the laboratory. Role Specific Responsibilities Receive and accession specimens. Prepare samples for testing and send out to reference laboratories Maintain laboratory equipment and stock supplies. Perform limited waived testing. Work under direct supervision of certified lab professionals. Prepare microbiology specimens, including Gram stains and rapid testing. Act as a liaison between lab staff and external departments. Participate in lab troubleshooting processes.
