About The Position

We are seeking a highly responsible and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Isotope Courier/Support Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of radioactive pharmaceuticals and medical supplies between our manufacturing facility and various healthcare entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent organizational skills, the ability to adhere to strict regulatory guidelines, and an excellent driving record. Additionally, this role provides production support to the manufacturing team in a just-in-time environment to support clinical and commercial demand. This role contributes to a well-organized and efficient environment by performing cleaning tasks and proactively maintaining accurate inventory levels to ensure smooth daily operations. This is a full‑time position, where weekly hours dedicated to medical isotope transportation will vary based on business needs, typically ranging from 10–30 hours per week. Candidates must be able to work full time even during weeks when driving hours fall below 30. The remaining scheduled hours will be fulfilled through on‑site responsibilities supporting the manufacturing team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or college-level coursework with a strong scientific background is highly desired.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical or medical transportation.
  • Certification in the transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to pass any required background checks and obtain necessary certifications.
  • Ability to pass drug screen.
  • Ability to accommodate shift changes. Exhibit flexibility to meet changing business needs, including occasional extended hours or weekend work.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Working knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant work experience in inventory management and logistics in the pharmaceutical or a cGMP manufacturing industry is desired.
  • Aseptic processing and technique experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport radioactive pharmaceuticals and medical supplies between the manufacturing site and healthcare facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing the transportation of radioactive materials.
  • Ensure timely delivery of the correct package to the correct location.
  • Follow established protocols for handling and transporting radioactive materials.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order.
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Support all technical aspects of pharmaceutical production readiness, including manual cleaning and disinfection services within controlled environment manufacturing areas (i.e. clean rooms) to ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA).
  • Maintain the assigned area housekeeping (per cGMP compliance) such as: cleaning walls, floors, doors, drains, windows, and other general surface areas.
  • Support the line clearance and disposal of radioactive waste generated in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing in accordance with procedures and safety protocols.
  • Respond to emergency requests for cleaning services such as facility cleaning and disinfection on a time-critical basis, on and off normal work hours
  • Support ordering and receiving raw materials, equipment, solutions, compounds, instruments, PPE, and other supplies.
  • Open, inspect, and allocate received materials into inventory; maintain accurate and detailed inventory records.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Coordinator to maintain appropriate inventory levels, and communicate low‑stock alerts to management.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in following quality, safety, regulatory guidance, and written procedures.
  • Complete accurate and detailed documentation for all transportation activities, including bills of lading, manifests, logs, and any other required regulatory paperwork.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or issues immediately to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) by accurately recording, reviewing, and maintaining clear, complete, and traceable documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with operations team and healthcare staff to coordinate delivery schedules and address any special handling requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare facilities when making deliveries.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with multiple departments to ensure operational success.
  • Actively promotes safety rules and awareness. Demonstrates good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment.
  • Reports and takes initiative to correct safety and environmental hazards.
  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure the well-being of yourself, coworkers, and the public.
  • Participate in regular safety training sessions and stay informed about updates to safety protocols.
