About The Position

The Medical Interpreter/Translator provides interpretation and translation, both written and verbal, of the English/Spanish language to facilitate delivery of health care services to Spanish speaking patients. Your role is vital in bridging the gap for our Spanish speaking patients by teaming up with a provider to assist in any interpretation needs. Other duties include assisting with billing, scheduling, patient follow ups, updating patient charts, and performing other office duties as assigned. This position is in an office clinical setting. Prior medical translating experience is preferred.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Experience/ability to use telephones and computers.
• Ability to work well as a team member.
• Ability to relate to client population.
• Basic typing and filing skills.
• Familiarity with office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, and shredders.

Nice To Haves

• Prior medical translating experience.
