About The Position
USCB America is a 100% employee-owned company that is currently seeking a Medical Insurance Billing Representative to join our team in Elk Grove, CA. This full-time position offers an entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in medical billing and coding. The role involves performing various accounts receivable activities for major hospital clientele, which includes placing outbound telephone calls and accurately documenting all information pertaining to the client's account using PC-based applications. The position requires a commitment to maintaining compliance with FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA, and other local, state, and federal collection laws. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail and achieve the determined production and quality expectations while adhering to all company policies and procedures. As a Medical Insurance Billing Representative, you will be responsible for following up on outstanding accounts in a professional and consistent manner. You will need to successfully operate a PC, software applications, telephone, fax, scanner, and copier. Accurate documentation of actions taken on each account in the PC system is crucial, as well as performing administrative or clerical duties in a timely fashion. Effective communication with staff and USCB management is essential, and you may also be assigned special projects as needed. This position may transition to a hybrid work model after training, requiring a high-speed internet connection, a private workspace, and a compatible computer setup for remote work.
