The Medical Imaging Intern will provide health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment under direct supervision. This role involves performing radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. The intern will demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in the department, recognizing patient conditions essential to successful completion of procedures.

Requirements

• BLS Certified
• Currently enrolled in CAHEA accredited radiography program or equivalent.
• Must have State of Nevada Temporary Student License upon hire.
• Registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.) within twelve (12) months.
• High School Graduate / GED

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
• Assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements.
• Provide health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment under direct supervision.
• Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation.
• Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
• Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential to successful completion of the procedure.
• Provide services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
