About The Position
Performs radiologic procedures with direct supervision under other Medical Imagers. This is a per diem position with a rotating schedule. Dartmouth is the best where it matters most!
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Current student enrolled in their final year of a JRCERT-accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiography, or equivalent
- NH Medical Technician OR Tmp Medical Technician
- BLS within 30 days
Responsibilities
- Operates the section’s imaging equipment while performing section procedures.
- Reviews medical record for patient history and pertinent clinical information.
- Transfers patient to imaging table, explains procedure and positions the patient according to protocol.
- With registered Medical Imager, reviews films for correct positioning and overall film quality.
- Under direction of registered Medical Imager, performs additional films and uses suggested technical factors.
- Assists radiologists with difficult patients or complex problems.
- Administers all steps of the X-Ray with the patient: Pre-exam processing, performing the exam, and post-exam documentation.
- Maintains cleanliness of all rooms, machines and cassettes in the department.
- Maintains supply inventory.
- Utilizes applicable aspects of the Radiology Information System.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
