As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will provide front and back office support. You'll work closely with a team of individuals dedicated to providing the positive patient experience.

  • Processing payments
  • Starting IVs
  • Checking blood work if needed for exams
  • Assisting CT/MRI Techs
  • Prepping for patients for exams
  • Burning CD & Printing Reports
  • Greeting patients, medical staff and the public
  • Answering incoming telephone calls
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Entering orders and providing general information to customers
  • Participating in the resolution of customer problems
  • Entering patient information into the computer and scanning documents into PACS
  • Maintaining a complete patient record
  • Ensuring that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient's record
  • Providing support in the acquisition and distribution of digital patient records
  • Fulfilling requests for images and reports
  • Receiving patients in applicable systems and confirming patient demographics and insurance information
  • Calculating and collecting copays, deductibles, and self-pay
  • Coordinating patient appointments for procedures and treatments
  • Printing physician schedules, super-bills, labels and other applicable forms
  • Assisting technologists and nurses in pre and post procedure room preparation
  • Maintaining adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
  • Certification for BLS is required
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to handle ongoing face-to-face contact with patients and staff
  • Experience in IV placement
  • Prior experience as a transporter, EMT and/or nursing assistant
  • Previous experience working with electronic medical records and insurance
  • Knowledge of filing and/or retrieval systems
