The ICU has both a house wide as well as a unit based Shared Governance, that is nurse driven to allow staff the autonomy and buy in into how the unit is run. We utilize self-scheduling. The four ICUs are led by a shared leadership team, which provides many opportunities for growth, as well as the ability to cross train within the various ICUs (Trauma, Neuro, Surgical, Medical, and CVICU). As an ICU Nurse, you have a desire to be challenged and excel in intense, fast-paced environments. You will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Critical thinking is what YOU love to do As a Medical ICU Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with sepsis, DKA, post cardiac arrest, respiratory failure and various other medical conditions for this 36-bed unit to medical ICU. Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient. Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient. Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues. Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices. Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner. Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside. Requirements

• Diploma and One (1) year RN experience., upon hire
• BSN, upon hire
• ADN , upon hire or Foreign Equivalent, upon hire
• Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months

Nice To Haves

• One year medical/surgical intensive care experience.
