About The Position

The Medical Front Office position serves patients and referring physicians by scheduling appointments, maintaining records and accounts, and taking patient payments. This role involves welcoming patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries, and optimizing patient satisfaction by efficiently scheduling appointments. The individual will be responsible for keeping patient appointments on schedule, comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and answering questions, and maintaining the reception area. Key duties also include ensuring the availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records, maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information, and obtaining revenue by recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit, and handling third-party claims. The role also requires assisting patients in distress during emergencies, protecting patient rights by maintaining confidentiality, and contributing to team efforts by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.

Responsibilities
