Carolina Ophthalmology: Who We Are Carolina Ophthalmology is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of western North Carolina with primary offices in Hendersonville, Asheville, Skyland and Columbus, NC and satellite offices in Spruce Pine and Waynesville. The Practice is composed of 10 physicians and approximately 90 employees. Your day as a Medical Facility Driver/Support Services As a Part-Time Medical Facility Driver/Support Services team member at Carolina Ophthalmology, you will play a crucial role in supporting our doctors, technical staff, and administration by executing a variety of essential tasks. Your responsibilities will include maintaining company vehicles, performing light building maintenance, and conducting administrative and courier duties that ensure our operations run smoothly. You will exercise sound judgment, uphold confidentiality, and actively contribute to our culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. With a keen eye for detail, you will manage vehicle maintenance and compliance, deliver materials as needed, and assist with the setup of internal and external events. Your dependability and integrity will be essential as you carry out these duties, ensuring that you meet the highest standards of customer service and ethical behavior in every task undertaken. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are critical for understanding instructions and collaborating with team members and management in a congenial manner. A strong foundation in computer literacy will further enhance your ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently. While a high school diploma is the minimum educational requirement, additional formal education is a plus. Ideal candidates will have several years of experience managing multi-tasked projects and demonstrating a positive attitude in various interactions. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Capable of walking and standing for moderate periods of time while performing the job. Requires occasional lifting (up to 45 pounds) of items above the head to place on racks. Must be a licensed driver in the state of North Carolina with a clean driving record. Must be able to understand and respond to either written or verbal instructions. Strong computer literacy is preferred.
