About The Position
The Medical Ethicist at UPMC Mercy provides consultative services for ethical disputes related to patient care, including informed consent, surrogate decision-making, and medical futility. This role involves educating and advising healthcare professionals, patients, and families on ethical issues, leading the hospital ethics committee, and supervising on-call ethicists and trainees.
