About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Repair Technician to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, device calibrations and other preventative maintenance to specified healthcare equipment. Ensures that all devices are clean, up to date and calibrated to individual manufacturer and Rotech specifications. Monday - Friday; 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Background check (company-wide). Results will not be used automatically to disqualify individuals. Instead, the Company will conduct an individualized assessment that considers the duties of the position, the nature and timing of the offense, and any evidence of rehabilitation, in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
  • Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process (when applicable for the position)
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
  • Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Handheld bar code scanner, manipulate the scanner and input the required data
  • Operate select functions within the Service Manager System
  • Oxygen Analyzers, flow meters, RMS Multimeters, regulated power supplies and testing devices
  • Utilization of certain material handling equipment
  • Email transmission and communication
  • Internet navigation and research
  • Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet
  • Extensive walking and working on one’s feet for extended periods of time
  • Lift individual boxes up to 60lbs as necessary
  • Requires the use of hand tools; screw drivers, wrenches, drill drivers and crimpers
  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical field, distribution, medical devices and inventory management, preferred
  • One year of related work experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately updates work orders with parts and labor used, calibration results, device checklists, status changes, and physical movements in the Service Manager system via bar code scanning devices and other data entry methods
  • Adheres to and implements all company policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, vendors and other departments both verbally and in writing to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
  • Determine when repairs are feasible as compared to manufacturing guidelines
  • Determines repair priorities based on device need and the cost of repair
  • Establish relationships with department peers and other departments
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse working environment
  • Maintains record keeping as necessary to comply with policies and procedures
  • Maintains working relationship with manufacturers to ensure device software and calibration procedures remain up to date
  • Must pass and maintain vendor-training classes and become certified per manufacturing classes
  • Perform physical inventory cycle counts and periodic physical inventory
  • Physical movement of products in the service center and ensuring an orderly and uninterrupted flow of devices to the distribution team
  • Practices safe work habits, ensuring a safe work environment
  • Provides technical support to locations for equipment repair and maintenance
  • Responsible for maintaining tools and testing equipment necessary for preforming repairs and calibrations
  • Trouble-shoots and repairs equipment to meet manufacturer guidelines and specifications
  • Understand and evaluate electrical systems via electronic meter
  • Understand the integrations and dependencies of the repair center operations and processes with the Service Manager System
  • Volunteers and performs other duties as required or assigned
  • Works well with a team and all coworkers
