About The Position

The Equipment Planning group at Covalus is seeking experienced Planners and Project Managers to join their team. As a key member of the group, you will be responsible for planning and managing multiple and diverse healthcare construction projects simultaneously. With a strong background in Medical Equipment Planning or a related field, you will be tasked with ensuring the smooth execution of projects, from inventory and user meetings to the final delivery and installation of medical equipment. In this role, you will work closely with healthcare programmers, architects, contractors, healthcare systems specialists, and interior designers to coordinate information and ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned. Your expertise and knowledge of healthcare programmatic information, architectural plans, and healthcare medical equipment vendors will be invaluable in evaluating and proposing diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for hospital departments.

Requirements

  • Experience in Medical Equipment Planning or a related field with at least 3 years of experience
  • Knowledge of healthcare programmatic information, architectural plans, and healthcare medical equipment vendors
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and supervisory personnel
  • Strong project management skills, including coordination and leadership
  • Working knowledge of electronic capital equipment specification database software
  • Ability to evaluate and propose diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for hospital departments
  • Expertise in developing RFPs for capital medical equipment and related systems
  • Ability to determine milestones for purchase and delivery of capital medical equipment
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and make key decisions

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the actual planning of projects, including inventory and user meetings at all stages
  • Coordinate information from healthcare programmers, architects, contractors, healthcare systems specialists, and interior designers
  • Collaborate with the Equipment Planning Team to manage multiple and diverse healthcare construction projects simultaneously
  • Maintain electronic capital equipment specification database using the company's chosen software program
  • Evaluate and propose diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for all hospital departments
  • Develop RFPs for capital medical equipment and related systems
  • Determine milestones for purchase and delivery of capital medical equipment and assist in coordination for delivery and installation of medical equipment to job sites
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and supervisory personnel to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes
