About The Position

Join the Philips Multi-Vendor Services (MVS) business as a Portable Medical Equipment Handler, located onsite at a customer facility in the Valhalla, NY area. This role provides support to the onsite biomedical team. Your role: Inspect, ship, and maintain low risk biomedical equipment at customer sites. Utilize service manuals, tools, training (on-the-job, manufacturer, 3rd party), support, resources, and escalation processes within required timeframes to resolve customer and system problems timely and effectively. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving customer needs. Understand the customer's business and assess priorities communicated by site leadership. Actively participate as a member of the onsite work team; work to improve team processes and identify training gaps. Seek out opportunities to increase capability and capacity (i.e. may be required to become trained on a diverse range of equipment, learn new tools). Perform all administrative duties within established Philips, State, and Federal regulatory requirements and timeframes including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, FCOs, PM, installation documents, site and service documentation, and other related paperwork. Adhere to established training, quality, and safety requirements. Shift time: Friday-Tuesday, 7AM-3PM

Requirements

  • Preferred experience in a medical service environment or other electromechanical industries, providing administrative support.
  • Your skills include the ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to support medical equipment service tasks, including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment.
  • Your skills include the ability to work independently, while demonstrating strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • You have a high school degree.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You must be able to: Work in a hospital/healthcare environment; adhere to requirements.
  • Work flexible hours as needed based on business needs (i.e., 2nd or 3rd shifts; weekends, on-call; mandatory extra hours dependent on workload).
  • Safely work with radiation sources and/or radioactive materials; wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.
  • For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Valhalla, NY.
