About The Position

The Medical Equipment (DME) Service Technician/Driver at AdvaCare Systems is responsible for the delivery, setup, pickup, and troubleshooting of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to hospice organizations and skilled-nursing facilities. This role combines driving and customer service, ensuring that patients and caregivers receive the necessary equipment and instructions in a professional and friendly manner. The technician will operate a company-owned box truck and must be prepared to handle minor repairs and equipment troubleshooting in the field.

Requirements

• High School Degree or G.E.D.
• 1+ years of Delivery and/or Healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to lift an average of 50 pounds and perform strenuous work.
• Basic phone/computer skills.
• Ability to receive and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Card.
• Clean driving record and criminal background.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and install Medical Equipment in a safe and timely manner.
• Safely operate a company-owned 16' Box Truck.
• Instruct patients, family members, and caregivers on equipment functions while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Perform minor repairs and equipment troubleshooting while in the field.
• Thoroughly and accurately complete all orders on a proprietary web-based inventory management system.
