The Medical Equipment Processing Technician performs specialized cleaning and decontamination of non-critical and semi-complex medical equipment and devices in accordance with manufacturers’ Instructions for Use (IFU), infection prevention standards, and system policies. This position ensures safe, effective cleaning of medical equipment such as intravenous pumps (IVPs), vital sign monitors, and other reusable patient-care devices that require more detailed cleaning than standard environmental surfaces but do not undergo high-level disinfection or sterilization. This role supports Baptist Health South Florida’s commitment to excellence in quality, safety, and high reliability by maintaining a clean, safe, and patient-centered environment that minimizes infection risk and supports readiness for patient care.
