About The Position

The Medical Education Program Coordinator (MEPC) is responsible for the planning and implementation of daily operations for various medical education programs, including those for medical residents, medical students, and other healthcare trainees. This role serves as a primary resource for students, faculty, and administrative staff, acting as a liaison between internal education programs and external organizations. The MEPC is involved in recruitment, scheduling, onboarding, and ensuring the success of educational initiatives within the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in coordination and/or management of student provider/nursing/pharmacy programs.
  • Knowledge of student internship programs and medical rotations preferred.
  • Proficiency in writing policies and procedures for the department.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage fast-paced, time-sensitive matters.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse individuals and communities.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and prioritize projects effectively.
  • Valid CA driver's license, acceptable driving history, and proof of liability insurance required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement day-to-day operations of assigned medical education programs.
  • Recruit, screen, and interview Advanced Practice Practitioners (APPs) for the Advanced Training Program.
  • Create and coordinate management of program and faculty schedules.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding and orientation of new providers and students.
  • Support the growth and success of education programs, implementing changes as needed.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making for process changes in medical education programs.
  • Mentor and develop opportunities for program participants.
  • Recruit student and resident candidates through various outreach methods.
  • Support daily schedules of residents and students to ensure their success.
  • Maintain an up-to-date roster of current providers for student rotations.
  • Ensure compliance with training schedules and requirements for students and preceptors.
  • Liaise with external agencies and organizations regarding medical education programs.
  • Manage project delivery for current education programs.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is received from students prior to rotations.
  • Coordinate orientation and training with HR and IT for students and trainees.
  • Assist with additional projects and activities as assigned.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $26.87 - $28.21 an hour
  • Monday - Friday schedule, 8:00am - 5:00pm
