About The Position

Join MedSpeed as a Medical Delivery Driver in Charlotte, NC, where you will play a crucial role in delivering health by transporting medical supplies, specimens, and materials. This part-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $17.00/hr, with an additional $1/hr shift differential for Saturday and Sunday shifts. The role requires a commitment to safety and customer service, as you will be responsible for driving a company vehicle and ensuring the timely delivery of essential medical items. Training is provided through our Blue Shirt Certified program, and there are opportunities for career advancement within the company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver's license for 3 years.
• Must have an excellent driving history.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screenings.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable with walking and standing for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
• Load and unload the company vehicle with appropriate equipment.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items throughout the transportation cycle.
• Observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle.
• Adapt to varying route assignments based on client and business needs.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
