Medical Director – Community-GoHealth Urgent Care About the Role Community-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Director to lead and inspire a high-performing clinical team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring an outstanding customer experience across our urgent care network.

Requirements

  • Education & Licensure M.D. or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine.
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Med-Peds.
  • Current state medical license.
  • Experience Minimum of two (2) years of clinical leadership/administrative experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or related field, preferably in a major medical center or health system.
  • Successful track record building, developing, and leading high-performing medical teams.
  • Strong analytical, management, delegation, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and act as both coach and manager.
  • Experience with current clinical methods and techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Super-user level skills with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills for clinical and administrative topics.
  • Data analytics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and identify best practice standards, including establishing clinical policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and methods of operation for the GoHealth Urgent Care network.
  • Establish quality metrics and initiate process improvement programs.
  • Support the network’s strategy to increase exposure and enhance its image among healthcare providers and community residents.
  • Participate in the development of patient education materials and seminars.
  • Collaborate with the Market President and operational team to implement best practice operations.
  • Ensure quality of care and address all clinical caregiver issues within assigned region.
  • Share resources and implement improvement initiatives across regions to optimize clinical, financial, operational, and customer service performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
