About The Position

Summary of Duties: The Mental Health Resources Inc. Medical Director is responsible for providing high-quality care to clients of Mental Health Resources Inc. The Medical Director will also be responsible for creating and overseeing the implementation of integrated care concepts with clients, ensuring coordination of care for best practice client care, and establishing a process for health monitoring and referral needs. This position will work closely with the Quality Improvement team and the Chief Operations Officer to ensure that service delivery aligns with the strategic vision of the agency. The Medical Director must have a working knowledge of MOUD treatment options and must be comfortable overseeing an in house MOUD provider.

Requirements

  • FT, 35 hours per week
  • Starting Pay: $187,200 + depending on experience

  • Minimum Qualifications: Medical doctor with at least six years experience directly related to behavioral health.
  • Knowledge of: Competency skills, mental health issues/diagnosis, typing skills, computers/programs, and ability to multitask. Must have knowledge of MOUD treatment models.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care to a dedicated caseload
  • Advises on patient care for other psychiatric providers
  • Collaborates with nursing and prescribing staff, administration, and clinical staff in the delivery of quality patient care with evidence-based practices
  • Provide PRN supervision for prescribers and nursing staff and holds a monthly group supervision with all psychiatric and MAT providers and nursing staff.
  • Develop and monitor a strategic plan for the psychiatric department
  • Participate in the development of psychiatric department policies and procedures
  • Provide feedback and recommendations?
  • Participate and provide quality improvement initiatives and activities
  • Assist in training and educating psychiatric staff as needed
  • Develop increased integration and coordination of care by recommending effective procedures for communication within the department and agency staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned.?
