Requirements

Valid license as a physician in the state of Arizona
CPR certification - BLS for HealthCare Provider
Possess a current DEA registration in Arizona
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine

Responsibilities

Conducting rounds in the medical and infirmary units
Performing sick call visits, and managing chronic care
Responding to and initiating care for medical emergencies
Leading efforts to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of healthcare services
Coordinating, leading and participating in educational and training activities
May supervise Staff Physicians and other medical staff
Ensuring compliance with State and Federal mandates and regulations, including court mandates and standards
Collaborating on with other medical professionals to ensure staff are responsive to patients’ needs
