About The Position

Coastal Horizons Center, Inc., a recognized leader in substance use, mental health, rape crisis, prevention and criminal justice services in southeastern North Carolina, has an opportunity for a Medical Director to become part of our expanding organization. Coastal Horizons Center, Inc., is a non-profit service organization, a CABHA approved, and CARF certified service provider with the state of North Carolina. JOB TITLE: Medical Director LOCATION: New Hanover, Pender, and Brunswick County locations SCHEDULE: Part Time, with schedule flexibility JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES : The Medical Director provides medical board approved supervision for advanced practitioners, with direction and supervision of the medical treatment plans of outpatient substance use and mental health disorder treatment programs, which may include direct patient care, counseling, opioid treatment, psychiatric/psychological, integrated primary care, and other therapeutic services at Coastal Horizons. The Medical Director provides direct services and oversight to the Opioid Treatment Program and to the Office-based opioid treatment services at Coastal Horizons, including our programs in New Hanover, Pender, and Brunswick County locations. The Medical Director works closely with the organizations leadership on program development, modification, expansion, and quality improvement initiatives within Coastal Horizons. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from Medical School, and completion of required internships/residency program requirements. Board Certification preferred, Board Certification eligibility required Thorough knowledge of substance abuse, addiction, mental health and co-occurring disorders. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Requirements
