About The Position

As a Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring strict adherence to company and institutional security regulations, while diligently providing essential documentation of medical services to the Regional or Corporate Medical Director, facilitating ongoing monitoring of service delivery and contract compliance. Your commitment to transparency extends to promptly notifying the Regional or Corporate Medical Director and Health Services Administrator of any schedule adjustments, ensuring seamless coverage for medical services even during extended absences, demonstrating your dedication to maintaining high-quality healthcare provision.

Requirements

  • Medical school graduate.
  • Must have and maintain current licensure within the State of employment.
  • Maintains a current DEA number.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
  • Must maintain privileges.
  • Maintains CME requirements for continued medical practice in the State.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Public Health preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Examining referred patients
  • Daily infirmary visits
  • Ensuring thorough, problem-oriented documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or on approved forms
  • Responding to emergencies
  • Supervising and instructing healthcare personnel
  • Consulting with medical specialists and professionals to deliver high-quality care while adhering to established policies and standards
  • Collaborating with the Health Services Administrator to improve patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement initiatives, including Chronic Care Clinics, pharmacy service monitoring, and liaison with community healthcare providers
  • Reviewing and approving treatment protocols, clinical policies, and disaster plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies
  • Providing clinical oversight
  • Participating in the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee
  • Making recommendations to enhance patient care and safety
