About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate Psychiatrist as a Medical Director for Inpatient Unit in Franklin, IN. This full-time, remote role involves Medical Director functions, including leading committee meetings and answering administrative questions. _____________ WHY JOIN IPC? Requirements

• Active Unrestricted Medical License in the State of Indiana or ability to obtain.
• Active DEA in Indiana or ability to obtain.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist.

Responsibilities

• Medical Director functions - chair medical executive committee meeting, pharmacy and therapeutics committee meeting, be available for any questions about a policy, or other administrative questions that might come up; be available for any state or accreditation audits.
• Admissions have to be signed off on by MD within 24 hours of admission.
• 20% of charts need to be signed off on.
• There is no requirement for the psychiatrist to see patients face to face, but must be available for any questions related to patients and/or any court testimonies for involuntary commitment patients.
