About The Position
MCRA's Talent Solutions division is assisting in the recruitment of a Medical Director for a pioneering neuro-AI company founded in 2019. This innovative organization is dedicated to developing technologies that synchronize sensory and motor neural signals, with a focus on enhancing human well-being through advanced medical technologies. One of their flagship products is a wearable device designed to provide all-day relief for adults suffering from movement disorders, which is currently undergoing evaluation in a pivotal clinical study. Additionally, the company is advancing implantable peripheral nerve systems aimed at intuitive end-effector control and pain management. They have achieved significant milestones, including receiving two simultaneous FDA Breakthrough Device Designations for their implantable systems, and one of their nerve-computer interface technologies has been accepted into the FDA's Total Product Life Cycle Advisory Program (TAP). The Medical Director will be instrumental in shaping the clinical strategy and providing medical expertise to ensure the safety and efficacy of the company's AI-powered neurological medical technologies. This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader who possesses a blend of clinical expertise in neurology and a passion for healthcare technology innovation. The Medical Director will work closely with research and development, regulatory, quality, and commercial teams to ensure clinical excellence and compliance with local and international regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include providing strategic medical direction, contributing to clinical development and trial design, serving as the medical spokesperson for the company, overseeing product safety and post-market surveillance, and developing training programs for healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will stay abreast of the latest developments in neurology and medical AI technologies, identifying opportunities for new product development and clinical research.
