About The Position

Theoria Medical is seeking a part-time Medical Director to oversee skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and participate in administrative and quality initiatives. The physician will serve as the medical director and attending physician, collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include attending quality assurance meetings, guiding facility staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supervising clinical staff. The role offers flexible scheduling, no overnight duties, and a supportive work environment with pre-screened patient interactions.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with appropriate licensure.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities or similar settings.
• Ability to supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as medical director for skilled nursing facilities (SNF).
• Participate in administrative and quality initiatives.
• Attend monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings.
• Provide guidance to facility staff and review clinical guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Supervise facility clinical staff.
• Serve as the attending physician for residents at each facility.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for day-to-day resident care.
• Diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
• Complete provider documentation in Theoria’s electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Participate in Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM, and other medical quality initiatives.
