About The Position
Troop Veterinary Services in Marion, IL is seeking a Medical Director to lead our thriving small animal practice. Recognized as one of CareVet’s premier centers, our hospital has proudly served the Marion community for over 34 years and continues to set the standard for compassionate, high-quality veterinary care in the region. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong and experienced veterinarian who is passionate about mentorship, leadership, and delivering top-tier medicine. You will work alongside three skilled Associate DVMs and an exceptional support team in a well-equipped and respected facility that values teamwork, collaboration, and medical excellence.
Requirements
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
- Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
- Strong fondness and understanding of animals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
Responsibilities
- overseeing all professional services
- implementing veterinary and patient care policies and procedures, licenses, and related matters
