About The Position
The Medical Director for Infection Control and Faculty Member in the Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) at Mass General Brigham is a key part of the Infection Control team and the Division of Infectious Diseases at MGH. This role will report directly to the MGB Chief of Infection Control and will provide clinical support in the day-to-day operations of the MGH infection control team, supporting the execution of system infection prevention and control strategies and processes. The physician in this role will maintain sound organizational relationships, work well within a matrixed and integrated health care system, and will be facile in performing bi-directional communication with MGB leadership and the site. This leadership role requires flexibility and open-mindedness as the contours of the position will actively evolve over time. Additionally, the physician will provide patient care in the ambulatory clinic and inpatient ID consultative services, and will be expected to teach ID fellows and other trainees when serving on the teaching-based ID consult services.
