Medical Director, Hospitalist

This role will be a hybrid role working remotely with roughly 25% in the local hospitals. Position Purpose: This Medical Director will assist with hospital discharge planning and correct hospital acuity documentation. It will work with our hospitalist groups, nurse case managers, and the hospital case managers. Primary liaison with all hospitalist groups Review daily census and determine opportunities for conversion to more appropriate admission status and/or transition to lower care Analyze hospitalist group metrics and assist with improving efficiencies Work closely with the Population Health team to determine appropriate level of care and ensure optimal discharge planning
Requirements
- Las Vegas resident
- Must be licensed in NV
- Hospital priveliges in the Las Vegas area
- MD or DO without restrictions
- Hospitalist experience
- Graduate of an accredited medical school, plus board certification by the ABMS.
- 5+ years of experience in Medicine and as a Hospitalist.
- Experience functioning as a lead.
- Current state medical license without restrictions.
