The Medical Director for Population Health at Oak Street Health, now part of CVS Healthcare Delivery, will be at the forefront of the value-based care movement. This role involves co-leading clinical and strategic initiatives within the Population Health and Central Services Departments, working closely with various business units to enhance healthcare delivery. The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership to a portfolio of programs, including the development of AI technologies, centralized telehealth services, and pharmacy management activities.

  • Maintain a current clinical practice in primary care, internal medicine, or family medicine.
  • Provide clinical leadership for a set of programs within the Population Health and Centralized Services Teams.
  • Assure high quality, patient-centered clinical services that align with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a liaison to other clinical and operational leaders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in organization-wide planning and strategy, including staffing and hiring.
  • Drive a culture of innovation and open dialogue within the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • US work authorization.
  • Previous experience in a leadership position.
  • M.D. / D.O. / APN / PA clinical training with an active license to practice.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Preventative Medicine, or Geriatrics.
  • Fellowship training or professional degrees (e.g., M.B.A., J.D., M.P.H.) and/or 2-5 years of management consulting experience.
  • Preferred training and experience in providing primary care.
  • Prior clinical leadership or supervision experience.
  • Experience with managed care and/or value-based practice.
  • Familiarity with payer-provider collaboration.
  • Experience using a metrics-driven approach to analyze cost, quality, and satisfaction data.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Experience developing and implementing new processes.
  • Understanding of the basics of managed care.
