About The Position

St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a full-time Medical Director for the Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CVICU) at St. Peter's Hospital. This role is designed for an experienced intensivist to lead and develop a robust CVICU intensivist model within a thriving cardiac surgery program. The Medical Director will oversee patient care, collaborate with executive leadership, and implement best practices in clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Board certification in Critical Care Medicine and/or Cardiology.
• Extensive experience in managing patients with Impella and ECMO.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to quality improvement and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and care of critically ill cardiac patients in an 8 bed CVICU setting.
• Work closely with a dedicated team of 5 full-time cardiac surgeons.
• Lead clinical initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes in the CVICU.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop protocols and best practices.
• Mentor and train staff to foster a culture of excellence in cardiac critical care.

Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $500,000-$515,000
• Medical Director Stipend- $20,000 annually
