About the position

Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, Inc.’s Marketing Team is looking for a Medical Device Services Portfolio Manager for the Medical Device Services business. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this results-oriented individual will have a strong understanding of the medical device category and be responsible for driving strategic initiatives from concept through commercialization. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of strategic initiatives from concept through commercialization. You will lead cross-functional teams—including technical, operations, marketing, sales, and regulatory in the development and execution of strategic and new service development projects that support the long-term vision of the Medical Device business. As a results-oriented individual, the portfolio manager will have a propensity for action to ensure successful launches and marketing commercially-focused marketing programs. This position is accountable for projects and initiatives that drive the Medical Device Services’ key strategies and the success, including managing external business consultants and in-house resources for market analysis, voice of customer, and strategic initiatives to drive share of wallet, brand advocacy, and medical device podium position. The Portfolio Manager will identify and propose new business cases using market analysis and assessments in potential areas of opportunity to strengthen the portfolio strategy and marketing. He/She/They will maintain and grow the business through client interaction/management while ensuring milestones for existing offerings are met. Responsible for ensuring Medical Device Services’ budgeted profits and margins are met, working closely with pricing to optimize the medical device services business line.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a medical device services industry SME (Subject Matter Expert) to provide leadership and expert knowledge to create and drive development of category strategies and plans, and successful execution to deliver on strategic goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of strategic and new service/product development projects that support the long-term vision for medical device services.
  • Identify/Develop new business cases via conducting market analysis and assessment in potential areas of opportunity to make recommendations for portfolio strategy, marketing/go-to-market strategy and service/product development.
  • Perform data analysis to inform business decisions, pricing and/or package decisions, forecast business results working with finance and utilizing Power BI and other digital platforms and resources.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of category financials including drivers of topline and bottom-line and works with the relevant teams and leadership to influence both drivers.
  • Pull insights from multiple sources and synthesize into a compelling story for the appropriate audiences (customers, target audiences, leadership, sales team, etc.).
  • Work closely with the sales teams, BU heads, technical SMEs, and other key stakeholders to address portfolio management and service delivery of the business, including the timely resolution of arising issues involving the right cross-functional teams.
  • Manage product portfolio and address needs to maintain the relevant value proposition.
  • Monitor the global marketplace and competitive landscape and collect business intelligence.
  • Establish and develop outside partnerships with organizations that can drive growth and protect base business.
  • Develop and maintain service offering performance claims.
  • Conduct VOC and market research to identify needs, determine market/product viability, market acceptance, and competitive price points.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience in the medical device industry and/or testing services
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and positive attitude
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
