The Medical Courier is a vital part of our healthcare team, ensuring that every delivery supports the well-being of the participants we serve. You’ll be responsible for the safe, timely, and confidential transport of essential medical supplies, lab specimens, medications, equipment, and documents between our facilities, participant homes, and external partners. Your work helps maintain the continuity and quality of care our participants rely on. With each delivery, you’ll handle materials with the utmost care, precision, and respect for safety and privacy standards. Beyond deliveries, you’ll also play a key role as a backup driver and escort for our transportation team, stepping in to maintain seamless service during staff absences or times of high demand. This dual responsibility makes you an integral link in ensuring that participants, their care teams, and our operations remain connected and supported every day.

  • Pick up and deliver medical records, lab specimens, medications, medical supplies, equipment, mail, and other materials between sites and partner locations.
  • Maintain clear and detailed logs of all deliveries, including pickup/drop-off times, recipient signatures, and the contents delivered.
  • Report any delivery challenges, delays, or incidents immediately to keep the team informed and patients safe.
  • Operate a company or personal vehicle with the utmost care, following traffic laws and organizational safety policies.
  • Ensure your vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and fueled to support timely deliveries.
  • Follow all HIPAA guidelines and infection control policies when managing medical information, biohazardous materials, or temperature-sensitive items.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with internal staff, external partners, and participants—your presence on the road reflects our mission and values.
  • Step in as a backup driver for transportation needs during absences, high-volume periods, or special requests.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior courier, delivery, or healthcare experience is required.
  • Valid California driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance are required. A Class B license and at least five (5) years of driving experience with no more than one (1) moving violation or at-fault accident in the last three (3) years are also needed.
  • Strong reliability, time management, and organizational skills to keep deliveries on schedule.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds and work on your feet as needed.
  • Comfortable working solo on the road while staying connected with dispatchers and supervisors.
  • Committed to protecting confidential health information and following all safety and organizational policies.
  • Experience in non-emergency medical transportation or public transportation is preferred.
  • We offer a strong base salary along with a total rewards package that reflects your experience, education, certifications, and the location of your role. For onsite roles, we adjust pay based on local markets; remote roles are aligned to national pay benchmarks.
  • Our industry-leading incentive plan recognizes your contributions and rewards success based on the performance of both your team and the organization.
  • You’ll receive two performance reviews per year (when applicable), giving you the chance to grow, reflect, and celebrate your achievements.

  • Choose from six medical plans, with up to 80% of premiums covered for employees and 75% for dependents.
  • We’ve got you covered with dental and vision insurance, FSA/HSA options, short- and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and additional benefits like accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage.
