About The Position

Under the oversight of the Manager of Facilities, the Medical Courier position responsibilities include transporting prescriptions from the Circle the City (CTC) Pharmacy to the various CTC facilities and designated drop-off locations. Other duties include support of the Facilities and Fleet team, driving, vehicle cleanliness, parts and donations pick up/delivery, light maintenance support and other duties as directed.

Requirements

• 21 years or older.
• High School Degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport prescription medications, medical supplies, and confidential documents from the CTC pharmacy to CTC sites or other designated locations.
• Ensure secure handling of all medical items in compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and relevant transport regulations while maintaining confidentiality of all patient-related information.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, obtain signatures, and complete necessary documentation for all deliveries and pickups to protect the chain of custody and ensure accuracy and integrity of medication deliveries
• Meet delivery times and deadlines by adhering to established delivery schedules while adapting to route changes, traffic, or weather conditions.
• Communicate professionally with pharmacy staff and healthcare personnel.
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance or operational issues promptly.
• Assist in organizing deliveries at the pharmacy as needed.
• Other Duties as assigned
