Job Summary Medical Couriers are responsible for the transportation of medical items to/from labs, hospitals, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or the on-campus transportation of UMC guests. Reports to: Manager of Courier Services

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
• Effective written and verbal communication
• The ability to drive a commercial vehicle safely
• Able to handle physical exertion and movement

Responsibilities

• Responsible for transporting labs, deposits, mail, supplies, equipment, linens, medications, and paperwork to and from the hospital, local labs, or any other partnering facilities
• Driving the UMC campus shuttle, or golf cart, and transporting patients, employees or visitors from one site on the campus, to another site on campus
• Logging vehicle mileage and maintenance information in the company logbook
• All other assigned duties related to UMC Courier
