This is an on-site position and is not remote. JOB SUMMARY: This position provides coding for the medical records department as well as provide other clerical, technical and related support services.
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Two years of experience as a coder with Medical Records / Health Information Management.
- Certification: RHIT under AHIMA or CPC under AAPC or CCA Accreditation.
Responsibilities
- Work assigned shift, with flexibility regarding schedule based on needs of department
- Processes all discharges within 48 hours of discharge.
- Prepares the patient chart for discharge process and assembles components in the correct order.
