Requirements

• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
• Medical office experience including reception work with exposure to the billing of medical claims and/or verifying medical benefits with insurance companies
• Strong telephone customer service and communication skills
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and navigating computer systems
• Ability to multitask and meet quality and production goals
• Willingness to earn a medical terminology certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for member inquiries via phone, email, fax, and written correspondence
• Make outbound calls to members and providers as needed
• Ensure claims are processed accurately and in accordance with policy provisions
• Investigate and analyze medical, dental, and vision claims
